The mTrigger Biofeedback System
The mTrigger® Biofeedback System uses surface electromyography (sEMG)-based instrumentation to measure the electrical activity produced by target muscle groups during physical rehabilitation. Clinicians set the max voluntary contraction goal for the target muscle so that a voluntary effort is required by the patient for each rep of contraction or relaxation. This signal is displayed with visual and audio cues in the mTrigger app. Real-time data helps patients achieve efficient neuromuscular re-education and helps therapists and their patients make the most of every rep.
Features & Benefits
The primary rationale for the use of biofeedback in physical therapy is the belief that patients should begin to use their own electrical system as early as possible through volitional contraction. Interactive biofeedback activities on the mTrigger app enable patients to train with custom settings, play games, and track their performance, all while learning to recruit and re-educate the neuromuscular pathway. Using voluntarily generated EMG activity as an indicator of muscle functionality, mTrigger increases compliance, accuracy and engagement to enable the reacquisition of pre-injury performance.
Product Variations
The Individual Unit + Accessories Kit includes: 1 mTrigger Biofeedback unit, 2 sensing cables, 10 pouches mTrigger Sensing Electrodes, and 1 Micro-USB wall charger
The Clinical Bundle includes: 3 mTrigger Biofeedback units, 6 sensing cables, 50 pouches mTrigger Sensing Electrodes, 3 Micro-USB wall chargers, 3 Mobile Device Stands, and a Wearable Wrap. Offers savings of over $200!
mTrigger Custom Sensing Electrodes: Self-adhesive electrodes designed to read a clear signal of the wearer's muscle activity. Each electrode is 2" square with a fabric overlay and pigtail pin connector. Use two electrodes per muscle for an average of 6-8 sessions. We recommend a minimum of 1 pouch per new patient.
