Testing Components

The cognitive Performance Test contains seven subtasks that replicate common daily activities. Some of the activities include sorting medicine, using tableware, hanging up clothing, and so on. The test is timed and observed to draw conclusions on an individual’s ability to function and remember. An instructional booklet is included, as well as a convenient and easy-to-carry bag. The bag keeps the tasks organized and allows for testing in a wide range of settings.

Testing Purposes

This is a standardized occupational therapy assessment of functional cognition. The test is designed to identify an individual’s cognition level in daily living and their ability to remember and retain information. The test also allows for creating an intervention plan to help improve an individual’s cognition in daily tasks. With the seven subtasks, it provides a clear, accurate, and effective assessment of any individual.

What the Test Tells

The CPT is designed to evaluate, predict, and explain cognitive functionality in various context of a user in common everyday tasks. A baseline and series type assessment provide tracking and measuring of the severity of functional cognitive disabilities. After an initial test is conducted and a plan is set in place, the test can be redone to identify areas of improvement in an individual and where they still need assistance. Great for older adults and those with Alzheimer’s disease. Also great for people with limited cognitive or mobility functionality.
