Scan Ultrasound Gel is a standardized aqueous coupling gel for diagnostic ultrasound scanning. Because it is completely water-soluble, it will not stain clothing or linens. Scan Gel has the ideal viscosity for proper transducer movement, and it will not "track" or cause oscilloscope "bubbling." Scan Gel is non-irritating to the skin and will not cause injury to the transducer.
