Medical Equipment
To ensure that the patients are in the proper care, the hospital needs some equipment that falls under the Medical Equipment category. This equipment helps the doctors and nurses check the patient’s vitals as they recover and support them during the procedure and the medical examination. In addition, they help the doctors and nurses to keep track of the patient’s recovery rate.
Some of the Medical equipment used in the hospitals and clinics include -
- Ultrasound gel - Ultrasound gel is applied to the area which needs to be examined. This is done because the ultrasound waves have difficulty travelling through air. The gel helps the doctors get a better, clearer, and more accurate image of the area, resulting in a better diagnosis.
- Infusion Pumps - External Infusion Pumps are used to deliver fluids to the patient’s body. These fluids may include nutrients, antibiotics, hormones, or pain relievers. They may be electrically powered or manually powered.
- Patient Monitor - A patient monitor measures, records, and displays values such as heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, and more. Doctors and nurses check the patient's vitals on these patient monitors during a medical procedure and recovery.
- Oxygen Masks - Oxygen masks are used when a patient requires a high percentage of oxygen and can’t get it on their own. This could be due to a lung condition.
These medical core equipment and more, including - Nasal Cannula, Electrodes, Ultrasound probe covers, and many others, are used to take proper care of the patient during and after a medical procedure.
